Scope
NOTICE: Current and Prospective Members
The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) is taking steps to re-energize the society's technical committees, such as our Technical Committee for Telerobotics (TCT) and improve data privacy options by incorporating them into existing IEEE infrastructure. This will allow for easier management, communication, and organization as it will provide access to tools such as Collabratec communities.
In order to do so, we will need all TCT members, such as yourself, to re-register to the TCT by going to the IEEE Membership catalog and checking out TCT. You can also register in other TCs. All you will need is a free IEEE Account. Please note that Joining a TC is free and an IEEE membership is NOT required.
Step-by-step guide to registration
The IEEE RAS Technical Committee for Telerobotics (TCT) aims at concentrating the main achievements and researchers on telerobotics and promoting development of new activities in this field, that is to become a reference point for all people working on Telerobotics. The Technical Committee supports workshops, and organizes special sessions in conferences and special issues on Telerobotics to promote discussion both on technical and applicative problems.TCT also recognizes research excellence through TCT Best student Paper Award, and provides networking opportunities at mainstream conferences in robotics and haptics.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Control of Telerobotic Systems
- Telepresence/Telexistence
- Internet-based Teleoperation
- Devices and Technology
