The IEEE RAS IAB Standards Committee met in Tampa on 2 February 2024 for their yearly standards planning meeting. The group discussed a wide range of topics such as:

1. An overview of the standards currently in their portfolio and opportunities to interaction between the groups
2. Opportunities for new standards development activities
3. The criteria to start new study and working groups
4. Update on the student competition to incentive students to get involved in robotic standards

The committee is excited to be putting two standards to ballot in the coming months on 3D map representation and ethically-driven nudging. The committee will meet next in Yokohama, Japan to continue standards planning efforts.
